Our Over 55s
Membership Options
JustGym's Over 55s memberships are designed to support you whatever your starting point. Safe, friendly, and built around what you actually need.
A Gym That Gets It
We know that walking into a gym for the first time, or returning after a long break, can feel daunting. That's exactly why we've built something different.
Our Over 55s classes are run by qualified coaches who understand the specific needs of older adults. We focus on mobility, strength, balance and confidence and we make sure every session is something you actually look forward to.
"Every Friday morning, I see a group of older ladies at the gym who share a personal trainer. They look like they're having huge fun and can hold the plank for a seriously impressive amount of time."
Allison Pearson, The Daily Telegraph
Fit4Life Classes
Fit4Life is our dedicated class for members aged 55 and over. Run by qualified coaches, each session focuses on building strength, improving mobility, and boosting confidence at a pace that works for you.
It's also a genuinely social session. The same friendly faces each week, a supportive group environment, and coaches who know your name and your goals.

Why Strength Training Matters More as You Age
After age 30 we start to see a loss of muscle mass at a rate of 3-8% per decade. Less muscle means less strength, lower bone density and therefore higher risk of falls and fractures.
The good news is it's never too late to start. Consistent exercise and resistance training can help to reduce muscle atrophy (muscle wasting), reduce risk of falls, improve bone denisty (which reduces risk of fractures) and reduce risk of conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
"I think strength training should really become as normal as brushing our teeth. It's basic maintenance for the body."
James Wilkinson, JustGym, quoted in The Daily Telegraph, March 2026
